Now that you have your Natural Health Test report, what’s your next step? 03/12/09
The Nutrition, Lifestyle, Anti-Aging Assessment that you completed has enabled me to understand what scientifically-based lifestyle considerations are most appropriate for you, in order to maintain or re-establish a highly functional body and mind for as long as possible, as well as to reduce risk of future illness and improve your chances for a long, productive life. The Natural Health Test report that was sent to you has taken into consideration:
- Your Age
- Your Gender
- Your waist and body mass index score or BMI – which is highly correlated to percentage of body fat, unless you are very muscular from resistance training exercises.
- Signs and symptoms of any nutrient deficiencies.
- The depletion of specific nutrients from your body that can be due to such things as specific medications you may be taking, your intake of caffeine, alcohol, your stress level, aerobic exercise, etc.
- Any current or recurring health conditions you have, whereby lifestyle modifications can help better manage the condition
- Any health conditions that run in your family, whereby lifestyle modification may help to reduce the future onset of the condition.
- Any dietary, exercise or supplementation practices that would be dangerous for you to follow due to a conflict with certain medications you are taking, or a health condition that you have.
Next Steps: I suggest that you take the Natural Health Test Feedback Report you received from me very seriously, and that you adhere to the dietary, exercise and supplementation considerations it contains, as this action will very likely make a significant difference to your quality of life immediately, and as years go by.
Additional Medical Screening
However, in addition to the data collected during the Natural Health Test Assessment, I would highly recommend that you also visit your physician and request that he or she order a complete battery of blood, urine and other medical screening tests, which are appropriate for you, based upon your age and gender.
These tests will provide further objective evidence as to your internal health status and will screen for underlying health problems, which if picked up at an early stage, are much easier to manage and are much less likely to be life-threatening.
When you click this link you will find the list of tests that I recommend for routine screening. Please print a copy of this form and bring it with you when you next visit your physician. If you have not had these tests performed in the past year, then you should make your appointment immediately.
Once the test results arrive at your physician’s office, you should request a copy of your test results so you can compare YOUR results with those posted on the Adëeva website, which indicates what values for each test are in the ideal range for longevity and reduced risk of future disease. The reason for this is simply that, for some tests, the medically accepted range is not a true reflection of the ideal range for longevity and the most optimal range for the protection against degenerative diseases. Thus, it is important to check your test results against those posted on adeeva.com. The information on this page also explains, in brief, the meaning of each test result, so you will better understand the significance of each medical test performed on you.
Thus, the combination of the Natural Health Test Assessment and knowing the results of your medical tests, provides you with the best snapshot of your current health status, and will give you an extremely accurate understanding of what medical interventions and evidence-based lifestyle practices are best suited to your current needs in order to remain healthy and highly functional.
I would also suggest that you consider getting a postural, orthopedic, biomechanical assessment from a doctor of chiropractic, as certain types of body work, when performed periodically, can help to restore and preserve more youthful function of your muscles and joints, and ward off the tendency to becoming rigid, stiff and rickety as you age. Being able to move around freely, without muscle and joint pain and stiffness are also important considerations in maintaining a highly functional body and preserving your quality of life.
