Hi, we're back with step two from the Well Living Program, it's a chapter that we've now sent you electronically And in Step 2, what I cover is the importance of certain life long supplements that everybody should take from the time they're 16 years old and older. Those three supplements by the way are a high potency multiple vitamin and mineral as well and an essential fatty acids supplement with the right combination of oils, and ground flax-seed .

Now, with respect to lifelong supplements, by age 16 Everybody should really be on a high potency multiple vitamin and mineral that enriched with extra antioxidants and a B-50 Complex. I know there's a lot of controversy about that. some doctors say, "No you can get everything you need from food, supplements might be dangerous." But the reality is that the body of evidence is so strong and compelling that certain supplements can really decrease your risks of many degenerative illnesses and slow the aging process to a very significant degree.

So in the chapter, I cover the research that highlights that information so you can make the best informed decision that's possible for you. So in regards to a high potency multiple vitamin and mineral, it should be enriched with extra antioxidants like vitamin C E and beta carotene. I explain the dosages in the chapter but those things have been shown to help to reduce the free radical damage that gets done to body.

So those antioxidants since we feel, and there's evidence to support this, can reduce the risks of certain types of cancer., reduce the likelihood of maybe developing Alzheimer's or dementia as you get older. reduce your risk certainly of cataracts and macular degeneration, which is the leading cause of blindness in people over the age of fifty five.

It can strengthen your immune system. As you get older your immune system becomes weaker, these antioxidants have been shown to distract the immune system. The B15 complex that I talked about -- very important for the prevention of heart disease. Also, makes your genetic material stronger. The chromosomal linkages are stronger.

Less likelihood they're going to break with cancer mutations. I explain that. We talk about how those B vitamins used in the brain to make certain chemicals for memory and normal cognition and the b vitamins are needed for energy and red blood cell production and that high potentcy multi vitamins help also has to have nutrients to also support your born density.

You know, 1 in 4 women develop osteoporosis after the age of 50, 1 in 8 men. It's one of the leading causes of serious flexibility and death as people get older because their bones cave in because of demineralization and fractures, so you need to have proper bone support at the same time. Those vitamins and minerals in a high potency multi multiple vitamins are really really important.

The second lifelong supplement that I cover are the right combinations of essential fatty acids. We know today that we have this over ingestion of the Omega Six fats and not enough Omega Three fats. Most people have heard this story. But there is one Omega Six fat that we do need to get from supplementation as I I explain in the chapter, because it helps to reduce inflammation, and also helps to make your skin soft and smooth.

It helps to combat some skin and complexion problems as well. but overall, the right combination of essential fatty acids as I explain it in this chapter, helped reduce the risk of heart disease, it slows the rate in which cells divide which is important in terms terms of reducing your risk of cancer down the road, has anti-inflammatory effects, and the brain also needs these essential fatty acids, they've been linked to a reduction in risk of Alzheimer's diseases people get older.

So the right combination of essential fats from a supplement, vitally important. I cover that also in Step 2. Now, the final lifelong supplement that I cover in this chapter is ground flaxseed where you take flaxseeds and grind them or you can buy them already ground up but they contain a kind of fiber that helps clean the colon may reduce the risk of colon cancer contains the kind of fiber that lowers cholesterol helping you to reduce the risk of heart diseasse, but flaxseeds also have some special ingredients or bio-active constituents in there that have been shown to be important in terms of reducing risk in, we think, breast cancer, its been shown to reverse breast disease in women, protects the male prostate gland, protects the endometrium of the uterus in women.

So I really suggest that individuals, both men and women, two heaping tablespoons of ground flax seed a day. I give you the evidence to support that in step two. So in step two you're gonna learn that in addition to eating healthy you also I'll take three lifelong supplements: the high potency multiple vitamin, the essential fatty acids supplement and ground flax seeds every day.
